The Annapolis Yacht Club has been a local institution for over a century. Since its beginning in 1886 it has grown to over 2,000 members and offers programs including sailboat racing, cruising for sailors and power boaters, a junior sailing program, fun and educational winter activities, social events, and first-class dining and banquet facilities.
The club's facilities are located on Spa Creek and in Annapolis Harbor, and offer a spectacular view of the Annapolis Harbor and Spa Creek.
The Annapolis Boat Shows have been a popular event for over 50 years. From their beginnings as a first-ever in-water US sailboat show in 1970, they have become some of the most popular and well-attended boat shows in the country.
Rams Head On Stage has been a popular music venue located on West Street in Annapolis, Maryland. It has hosted over 6,000 concerts since its inception in 1997. As shown in this photo of Herman's Hermits with Peter Noone, Rams Head has been a favorite among music lovers for its intimate setting and excellent acoustics.
Stop by and cheer for the midshipman at the conveniently located Navy Marine Corp stadium on Rowe Boulevard.
With the US Naval Academy located so close, Annapolis has had a long association with the military for almost 200 years.
The Annapolis City Dock has been an important part of Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay for over 350 years. It is the heart of Annapolis and is home to bay-side restaurants, boat tours, and shopping.
Visitors can watch boats slowly turn around at Ego Alley at the City Dock where boat owners parade their expensive yachts.
The Annapolis Harbor is a popular venue for sailboat racing, always fun to watch from the City Dock.
Quiet Waters Park has a rich history that extends several millennia into the past. Established in 1990 Quiet Waters offers a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, concerts, ice skating, picnic areas, pavilions, playgrounds, and a dog park.
The spectacular views of the South River are a delightful place to hike or simply relax with a good book.
There is something for everyone at Quiet Waters.
Beginning in mid November, the pool is converted into an ice rink and has become a winter tradition.
