Broadview Estates Community Association, Inc. (BECA) is a non-profit corporation registered with the State of Maryland on May 6, 1982 by the developers of Broadview Estates to provide for the maintenance, operation, and management of open spaces and other community and recreational facilities within Broadview Estates.
The members of BECA are the homeowners of the properties on Broadview Lane and the northern part of Broadview Terrace that were part of the original Broadview Estates development.
BECA is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors (BOD), elected by the members. Unlike other for-profit homeowner's associations, BECA is focused on the needs and priorities of the community and exists to serve the community with amenities and events to enhance their enjoyment of their properties.
BECA's power and duties were documented within the Broadview Estates Maryland Land Records for Anne Arundel County on May 5, 1982 through a Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions. These powers and duties include operating the corporation, promoting the common benefit of the members, collecting annual common area maintenance assessments, collecting special common area maintenance assessments, managing reserves for common areas replacements, and operating the Architectural Control Committee.
More information on the Architectural Control Committee is available here.
